Flat Roofing in Peterborough
We repair and replace flat roofs on extensions, garages and other buildings. A survey can identify damage to the covering, roof edges and drainage.
The existing roof condition helps determine whether a repair or replacement is appropriate. We explain the proposed work in a written estimate.
Signs you might need this
- Puddles that sit for days after rain
- Blisters, cracks or bubbles in the felt surface

Questions about flat roofing

Planning flat roofing
Why inspect falls as well as a flat-roof membrane?
The roof must discharge water through an appropriate route. A new covering does not automatically correct poor falls or an unsuitable outlet position.
Can the deck need work when only the surface leaks?
Possibly. The condition beneath the covering needs assessing, particularly where water has entered repeatedly or the surface has sagged.
What is an upstand on a flat roof?
It is the raised waterproofing detail at a wall or interruption. Its formation matters where the roof meets another part of the building.
Can an edge leak be repaired without full replacement?
Sometimes, if the remaining covering, deck and junction are sound. The system and extent of damage guide that decision.
Should rooflights be included in a flat-roof survey?
Yes if present. Their kerbs, flashings and surrounding drainage affect the overall weatherproofing.
Is a flat roof automatically suitable for solar panels?
No. Structure, covering, mounting method, drainage and access need reviewing with the solar section and installers.
